Academic Scholarship
Congratulations on reaching this milestone – your senior year!
Did you know that NCCU has awarded 62 continuing education scholarships since 1998?
Each year, NCCU offers two, $1,000 second-semester scholarships to graduating seniors from schools within our 14-county membership area who are continuing their education. The deadline for the continuing education scholarship is April 15, 2024. Please contact NCCU at 715-762-3208 to apply.
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
By submitting this application, you agree to submit a class picture or photo of the yourself (applicant). A signed waiver will be required for NCCU to publish your name in any of our advertisements.
REMINDER: APPLICATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 15, 2024
ACADEMICS – ACT or Technical School Admission Test results, and your High School Grades,
Honor Roll, etc. Transcript Required– MUST BE SIGNED BY A SCHOOL OFFICIAL.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES - School Government, band, clubs, sports, etc. (List all) COMMUNITY SERVICE - Volunteer Programs, Girl/Boy Scouts, 4-H Club, etc. (List all) EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - Work study, job after school, etc. (List all)
MEMBERSHIP - To qualify for the scholarship, you, your parent, or legal guardian must be a Prime Member for at least one year and be in good standing. Additional consideration will be given if the student applicant is a member of the credit union. Please contact your local office for details
ESSAY – Topic: What is a credit union? What are the benefits of being a credit union member? How do credit unions impact the communities they serve? Length: A minimum of 300 words, not to exceed 500 words.
PAYMENT OF FUNDS – You must complete the first semester of post-secondary education and submit proof of enrollment for second semester before scholarship funds will be issued.

Military Scholarship
NCCU has also begun offering military scholarships, in varying amounts, for graduating seniors who have chosen to enter a branch of the military. 2023 Graduates can apply for the 2023 Military Scholarship. For those graduating in 2024. apply for our 2024 scholarship.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR MILITARY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Commitment to enter a branch of the United States Military immediately following high school graduation – Verification by military recruiter or high school official is required. Entrance into the military by December 31, 2023 is required for the 2023 scholarship. Entrance into the military by December 31, 2024 is required for the 2024 scholarship.
MEMBERSHIP - To qualify for the scholarship, you, your parent, or legal guardian must be a Prime Member for at least one year and be in good standing. Additional consideration will be given if the student applicant is a member of the credit union. Please contact your local office for details.
PAYMENT OF FUNDS – Scholarship funds will be awarded at High School Graduation or Awards Day Ceremony if possible.
